The prestigious Spanish documentary film festival focused on music In-Edit has just confirmed the first titles to be projected in this year's edition, which will commemorate its 15th anniversary, to be held from October 26 to November 5 in Barcelona and from 26 to 29 October in Madrid. With the presence of Cristian Pascual (director of In-Edit festival) and Luis Hidalgo (artistic director) at the press conference, we have been able to know that among the films of this year will be "My Life Story" by Julien Temple (focused on Suggs, singer of Madness), an approach to the early years of electronics with "A Life In Waves" and "Revolution Of Sound" (about Suzanne Ciani and Tangerine Dream respectively) or the expected "Chasing Trane: The John Coltrane Documentary" about the figure of the great jazz saxophonist John Coltrane.
Among the rest of international line-up we can find documentaries dealing about Iggy Pop and Josh Homme, Sleaford Mods, Sepultura, Tony Conrad, Berlin electronic scene, feminism in dancehall, cassette format or the adventures of Slovenian band Laibach in a tour on North Korea. On the other hand, among the Spanish proposals higlights the documentary focusing on the Granada band 091 "¿Qué fue del siglo XX? Una historia de 091", in addition to "Alicia's Hands", documentary that explains the trajectory of the renowned Catalan pianist Alicia de Larrocha.
The organization also wanted to point out that for this 15th edition, the festival seeks to expand broadcast channels by programming films and colloquia in civic centers and libraries, in addition to consolidating the current relationship with entities such as L'Auditori and Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals , the local television of Barcelona Betevé or companies like Fnac.
