The In-Edit music documentary film festival has today confirmed the first 16 titles for its 22nd edition in Barcelona, to be held between 23 October and 3 November 2024 at the Aribau cinemas.
The 2024 edition will feature documentaries on international artists like Blur, At The Drive-In and Devo, while on the Spanish scene we will see a documentary on Marisol and the Black Metal scene in Barcelona in the 90s.
The most high-profile documentary in this first batch of confirmations is ‘Blur: Tono The End‘, which follows Damorn Albarn‘s band as they record The Ballad of Darren (2023) and prepare for the tour and Wembley show to launch it. Other highlights include ‘This Is A Film About A Black Keys‘, about the duo The Black Keys, and ‘Omar And Cedric: If This Ever Gets Weird‘, about the friendship that led to the formation of At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta.
Among the other international documentaries are those about Die Antwoord, Simple Minds, Devo, Genesis, The Rolling Stones and singer Luther Vandross. On the other hand, the Spanish proposals have “Marisol, Llámame Pepa” as their main attraction, accompanied by “Zeleste: El Recuerdo De Tantas Ocasiones” about the mythical Barcelona venue, ‘Blackcelona: Una Historia De Metal Satánico‘, ‘Prohibido Ganar Eurovisión‘ and ‘Zambra‘.
In the absence of the rest of the line-up, which will be expanded over the coming months, tickets for these first confirmations of In-Edit 2024 are already available on the festival’s official website.
