Sónar 2018 closes its lineup

Catalan Festival Sónar 2018 has announced new names for its lineup this morning, joining the previously confirmed of Thom Yorke or Gorillaz, closing thus the lineup of an edition where they will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona’s festival. In this new batch, highlights the closing show that on Sunday 17 will be performed by Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto at the Teatre Grec in Barcelona presenting their new show that combines piano, electronic and spectacular visuals, also having as an incentive that it will be one of the three unique concerts around the world that both artists will gave this year. The other great name of this new round of confirmations has been the return of Despacio, the project of James Murphy and the brothers David and Stephen Dewaele (2manydjs), who will return to the Catalan festival after their incredible show in 2014 and during the 3 days of Sónar de dia they will present sessions played exclusively on vinyl through an incredible soundsystem of 7 speakers in a circle space with controlled access in order to always the exact number of people will enjoy the experience in the way it deserves.

Among the other confirmations stand out  the performances of Demdike Stare with the visual artist Michael England, the black music of IAMDDB, Yaeji, TOKiMONSTA, the Norwegian Jenny Hval or the enigmatic Napolitan Liberato, as well as the surprising presence of the Senegalese Lory Money, known worldwide for his ‘Ola k ase‘ on Youtube.

Tickets for Sónar 2018, which will be held from June 14 to 16 in Barcelona, are on sale on the official website of the festival at a price of € 185, while the tickets for each of the days of the festival have a price for the Sónar de dia of € 62 and € 83 for the Sónar tickets at night, while the combined ticket for two nights has a price of € 139.50.
