During a concert at the Palacio Metropolitano in Mexico City, Sweden’s The Hives announced the release of a new album, the seventh of their long career, and a world tour for the second half of 2025.
The album, titled The Hives Forever Forever The Hives (2025), will be released via Play It Again Sam on 29 August 2025, has been produced by their regular producer Pelle Gunnerfeldt in collaboration with Mike D of Beastie Boys and will contain 13 songs.
The tour kicks off in Australia on 17 July before heading to the USA in September. In October they will jump to Europe, starting with a concert in Oslo on 17th October, and after visiting Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, they will arrive in Spain at the beginning of November, playing the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona on 1st November and the Movistar Arena in Madrid on 2nd November. The European tour will continue to Portugal, France, the Netherlands, the UK and Germany before ending in Stockholm, the capital of his native Sweden, on 6 December.
Tickets for the Barcelona and Madrid concerts will go on sale on 11 April at Livenation, Ticketmaster and El Corte Inglés.
