Mark Lanegan and electronic Squarepusher have been confirmed for the 2015 edition of Dutch indie-classical Cross-linx festival, that will take place from February 11th to 14th throughout the Netherlands. The festival, that explores unexpected connexions between composed ‘new’ music and artists from the avant-garde pop scene, presented last year Ólafur Arnalds and José González, while other years crowd enjoyed with The National, Patrick Watson, Nico Muhly, Owen Pallett, Eels, Efterklang, The Ex, My Brightest Diamond or Yann Tierssen, among others.
Mark Lanegan, as a frontman of the Screaming Trees, was one of the defining people of grunge, while his solo-performances these days are full of intense and narrative. On the other hand, Tom Jenkinson, best known as Squarepusher, has been at the forefront of British techno since the eighties. For Cross-linx, both Squarepusher and Lanegan will be co-operating with the Dutch Metropole Orchestra. Other confirmed names include Bryce Dessner (guitar player with The National), Finnish Pekka Kuusisto, French Aufgang and American Nadia Sirota, with more program to be announced soon. You can check it and prize of the tickets at its official Website.
