American band Black Lips, who will publish their expected new album Underneath the Rainbow next March 18 through Vice Records, had came earlier to this date and they have publish on other of the magazines of the label, the well known Noisey, the full stream of the album. It’s their first record since 2011’s Arabia Mountain, it was co-produced by the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney and Dap Kings‘ Tommy Brenneck, and was recorded at a number of places from New York to Nashville.
Along with the stream, Black Lips announced today that their upcoming tour will feature “scented” shows. On their press release they stated “Recognizing the powerful effect of scent on emotion and memory, the band worked with a team of olfactory scientists to craft a band-specific scent that will be disseminated throughout the duration of their shows, evoking ocean, cedar, moon, denim, squid ink, fire, and semen among other aromas.” And that’s not all: A scented version of Underneath the Rainbow will be out on cassette through Burger Records, available at Black Lips shows.
