Tachenko – El Amor y las Mayorías (2013)

4 April 20132 min read

After all the good songs that we heard long time ago from Tachenko, finally arrives El Amor y las Mayorías their last (and very expected for me) job by Limbo Starr. The album was recorded entirely in Zaragoza, bases in Luna Nueva and the rest of the album at La cafetera atómica by Rafa Dominguez, taking charge of the mastering Iñaki Llarena.

Tachenko - El Amor y las Mayorias

What gives me this album is a group making music for the complete pleasure of creating great issues. The sound textures in the whole album are greatly maintained, every note and lyric seems set with exquisite delicacy, one of those rare cases in which everything fits, but without falling into a void exercise of style or the great field of overproduction. However is a pop record full of memorable choruses, enhanced by sound production and huge meticulousness and perfectionism, but with the great skill of seeming natural.

The great start with "Campos de Marte", a very evocative song, shows that the eleven remaining items will not waste. "Dame una pista", chosen as a single presentation of the album is a great success, "Suerte y Relampago", "Mi amor, las mayorias", "Estados libres de la unión", "Mundo Apache" … to name a few songs that demonstrate that Tachenko has a huge talent for rhythm and ballads, but that does not deceive us, their lyrics are not naive, even if naively utopian …

Tachenko

There is such enthusiasm, melodic ability and excitement that makes listening to El amor y las mayorias a delicious result, an expression of POP in capital letters, with that feeling of euphoria, and contagious enthusiasm … What really matters in the end are the songs, and this album is left over from great themes. A catchy work full of freshness, with a easily digestible mix for all audiences, especially thanks to the creative tandem Sergio Vinadé / Sebas Puente.

Apasionada de los vinilos y los casettes, me encontrarás en la primera fila de cualquier concierto. Eso si, si tienes que algo que objetar sobre Pearl Jam o Nudozurdo, mejor que lo hablemos con una buena cena de por medio...
