The National confirm new album, world tour and premiere the first single

11 May 20172 min read

After weeks of teasers and cryptic previews, Americans The National has confirmed yesterday that the seventh album of their career will go on sale next September 8. Sleep Well Beast (2017) will be its title and to present it they also have announced a world tour that will start in June at the Glastonbury festival. As if that were not enough, the band led by Matt Berninger has premiered us the first single of the awaited album, “The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness“, whose sound impregnated with guitars and distortions that seems to move this new LP closer to the sounds of Trouble Will Find Me (2013) instead of the ones on Boxer (2007) or High Violet (2010).

Victor Ramos
