On the 7th of June, Madrid will have a night where the dance music of the 70s will be the absolute protagonist. The Festival Alma Occidente 2024 (which confirms the sponsorship of the Catalan insurance company) will bring Nile Rodgers and Soul II Soul to the Spanish city, who join a line-up that already includes Deep Purple, Jamie Cullum, Vetusta Morla, Jorge Drexler or Evanescence, among others.
One of the myths of funk and disco music, Nile Rodgers is a legendary member of Chic and a multiple Grammy Award winner. He has collaborated with the likes of David Bowie, Madonna, Daft Punk and Beyoncé. His work makes him a musician capable of blending styles and generations. He returns to Madrid after his successful concert in the Noches del Botánico series last summer. He will be accompanied by the British band Soul II Soul, pioneers of dance music in the islands with hits such as ‘Total Confusion‘, a hit among the black British population in the 90s.
Tickets for the many concerts at Alma Occidente Madrid 2024 are available on the festival’s official website.
