Mumford & Sons have announced on Rolling Stone magazine the details of their third LP, Wilder Mind, and according to they it’s going to sound so different from their common folk-rock style. On the interview, Marcus Mumford explains that the band went completely electric for the new album, which will be on stores the 4th of May via Glassnote Records. “We felt that doing the same thing, or the same instrumentation again, just wasn’t for us”. It seems like this is not going to be the only change fro this new LP, because instead of Marcus full lyrical responsibility like he did on the past two albums, the band wrote most of these songs in a coperative way. The new album was produced by James Ford (who has also worked with the Arctic Monkeys, Florence + The Machine and HAIM, among others) and was recorded in Texas, London and the studio that Aaron Dessner from The National has in Brooklyn.
The tracklist of the LP will be:
“Tompkins Square Park”
“Believe”
“The Wolf”
“Wilder Mind”
“Just Smoke”
“Monster”
“Snake Eyes”
“Broad-Shouldered Beasts”
“Cold Arms”
“Ditmas”
“Only Love”
“Hot Gates”
